Alamo Rent A Car

No hidden fees!!!! After a bad experience with another car rental company, I am always skeptical of the end price actually being the quoted price. Alamo was great. All prices are as stated. I mistakenly did not look at the back of the SUV before getting it home to notice the bucket seats would not work for our use. After filling it back up, they swapped out cars (equal value vehicle), no problem. The car was great and we traveled across the USA without a problem. My only complaint is it is very hard to get a hold of an actual person at the actual pick up site after hours. They are open 24 hours, but you have to go there to talk to someone, they do not answer calls. Calling in only gets you general customer service that is not at the same location. I'm certain all rental companies are like that. So, will not mark them down for that small inconvenience. They were very helpful and extremely well priced.

Easy process. Friendly staff. Clean car. What else can you ask for? I was delighted to see the available cars to choose from. The car I chose was very clean. Returning the vehicle was easy and trouble free as well. I will gladly rent a car from Alamo again.

I had a 2-day trip to Indianapolis on August 11, 2020, fully booked with many tightly scheduled appointments. I reserved an Alamo rental car ahead of time.The customer service rep on the lot picked me a car that had a low tire. It was late night. I’m a single traveler so was alone throughout my experience I’m detailing here. Any how, I realized the tire was low due to a warning on the interstate not long after leaving the airport. I drive to my destination but had the tire filled at Pep Boys down the road from me first thing in the AM. According to Alamo, there were no rental cars available at any of their affiliated locations anywhere in the Indy area for me to swap it out. A mgr said he found me a truck. On my way to get it, after missing an appt due to the car tire debacle, the other location mgr says he didn’t have anything available for me. Now I have to call Alamo Roadside Assistance as I need to get to my appointment and have to have the tire changed to a spare. The assistance did not come! It was mistakenly cancelled by an Alamo telephone customer service roadside assistance agent instead of the location of service changed to the location of my second appointment. It never came. I called MY AAA service who came 25 minutes later and put on the spare tire.nnUnbelievably, Alamo NEVER refunded me even one penny for the trouble! The on site mgr at the airport desk could not have cared less. SHOCKING! This is a national car rental firm in business many years... that’s their “service”???nnI should file a BBB complaint. The worst rental car travel experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve been an extensive traveler for almost 30 years. I would think twice before you decide to rent from Alamo Enterprise at the airport and anywhere in the general Indianapolis area! My Google reviews of other businesses are almost all 4- and 5- stars. This experience was just dreadful.

Our Hyundai Kona was very fuel efficient, 32-33 MPG. The cargo area was a bit small, I had to lower both rear seats for two medium sized suitcases.nAll in all, it was a good vehicle to rent for our 1200 mile vacation week in Southern Indiana.

Renting with Alamo top notch service. No one is perfect but admitting to it and resolving the problem is key. A very busy weekend for Newark airport with no cars to rent the week before I traveled Alamo made it happen. Then I recieved a car which we can say wasn’t perfect. Alamo quickly owned their faults and immediately presented an overcompensating resolution. First bad experience with Alamo in over five years of using them for several trips all over the country
