I just wanted to acknowledge the outstanding customer service provided to me by Landa Gunderson. She was extremely courteous and professional in assisting with a change to my existing reservation. She even was able to save me some money on my rental, which came as a pleasant and totally unexpected surprise! Kudos, Hertz Bismarck and Landa, for strengthening my loyalty to your company!!

I worked with Jessica to get an insurance rental while ours was in the shop. She was pleasant to work with and explained that if we took a smaller rental car there wouldn't be any out of pocket after our insurance took care of the rest. When the scheduled car wasn't available she was kind enough to upgrade us without any issues.nnThe car we received was nice and undamaged, but I am docking a star because the other individuals at the front counter ignored me for the first few moments I walked up because they were playing on their cell phones (both when picking up and returning the car), and came off quite rude in their response when I said I was there for an insurance rental. Compared to the awesome customer service I received from Jessica, the rest of the employees should take note!

1st car had a violent shimmy on the innerstate brought it back they swapped it out and all was well. Still feel they should have checked this vehicle better for safety reasons.

We pre-paid for a vehicle. After traveling 16+ hours and a 10 hour delay at the previous airport with our family, we were hoping to get our vehicle and get on our way. Jordan (the only employee who was behind the counter) was very abrasive, rude, and downright unhelpful. We made a reservation using a credit card under my name, but the name on the reservation was my husbands. We travel semi-frequently and while this has been an issue a time or two before, it has always been quickly rectified providing we can give proper identification to match said card. Jordan simply says it’s “not his problem” and he “cannot help us” and “can not communicate on our behalf” (even though no one asked him to...) We have left MULTIPLE messages for the assistant manager, Landa Gunderson with no call back after 6 days of attempting to reach her. We called Hertz directly and were informed they cannot really assist with much since this Hertz location is actually franchised. We hunted down contact information for the franchise owner and he is blatantly unbothered by our experience and the management of this facility. If you need a rental I would highly recommend seeing the sweet ladies at the Avis counter and avoid Hertz like the plague. While we understand a policy is policy- that does not take away the fact that your establishment has terrible customer service and very obviously poor management.

The worst experience I have ever had renting a vehicle. Jordan (customer service agent at front counter) was absolutely terrible. I can’t understand how this man was even hired to begin with considering how bad at his job he is. Landa Gunderson, the assistant manager still hasn’t returned a call 5 voicemails and 6 days after the incident, and John Kaelberer the GM, responds in an email outlining the situation that his staff acted in accordance with company policy. Jordan laughed in mine and my wife’s face while we attempted to pick up our rental car after 12 hours of traveling with our 2 year old daughter and ultimately refused us service for NO REASON. Would not help us “fix” our reservation (the reservation was in my name and my WIFES credit card, we were both present with both credit cards and both photo ids). I understand that goes against policy, but his response was “too bad”. Never renting from Hertz again, and I urge anybody who needs a RELIABLE place to rent a vehicle, to use the Avis counter in the same airport. They were a pleasure, unlike the disgusting behavior of the Hertz rep.
