I’ve rented from Enterprise many times without an issue; however, the Hamden, CT location is the most unprofessional, unorganized & fraudulent location.nnI initially had a rental reserved through my insurance for 11AM pick up the next day. I arrive around noon & they were not prepared for my reservation & waited another hour for them to provide the only car that was available on the lot.nnWhen I received the car, it was not thoroughly cleaned from the previous renter (I have photos to prove it). I informed the representative but he was not helpful & stated its the only car available.nnI took the car because I lost patience & wanted to leave as soon as possible. The representative explained the payments to me & that my insurance will be covering me up to $50 a day & I’m responsible for the taxes which was approximately $3-$4 per day. I agreed to the following payments & put down a $200 deposit.nnA week later I get charged an additional $73, unsure why. When I returned the car after having it for approximately 21 days, I was told I was only getting $70 back. If you do the math correctly based on what the representative told me, I would only be coming out if pocket for roughly $80 & should receive about $110 back (this is not including the mysterious $73 I was charged).nnWhen I asked the representative to explain everything to me, they could not... not even the manager. So they fully refunded the money back considering that they could not explain the payments.nnA day after I returned the rental, I get charged again for $100. I called the location to see why I was charged $100 when I returned the rental yesterday & was reimbursed. Verbatim this is what the representative said: “I was off for a week & I don’t know why you were charged $100. I’ll have someone call you Monday”, & hung up on me.nnAt that point, I was highly upset, called customer service whom refunded the money & filed a complaint.nnToday, I wake up to a charge of $53 from the location although I returned the car about a week ago.nnI don’t understand why I keep getting charged & no one is able to explain why. I also have not received any follow-up in regards to the complaint “allegedly” filed.

I had a great experience. What I reserved was not available, so they upgraded me at no additional charge. The transaction was quick and easy and my salesperson was a pleasure to work with. I had to extend my reservation and a few more options were given to me to help save money which I took advantage of and drop off was quick. I will definitely use Enterprise again in the near future.

I’ve been a customer for many years. When I rent from one particular location, when I arrive, they never have the class car that I reserved. If I reserved a compact car that’s what I expect to rent. They always want to put me in a caravan or a pick up truck. They even suggest that you rent the car that they offer you and if your near another enterprise you could possibly get the car you want. They never offer to call another location. I have to always ask them to call another location. What ever happened to a courtesy call confirming your rental?

Unreal how bad the service was - Cannot warn against with Enterprise enough.nnFirst, we arrived on time for our appointment, however were forced to outside for a good long while before any one even attempted to check on us. When they did reach out, they acted surprised to hear our last name, which made us feel some racial tension.nnThe real kicker is that we had reservations for two sedans, of which they accepted. Even though the appointment was made in advance and accepted, turns out they only had one, but it was not a small sedan as we had requested, but a more expensive sedan. Management instead tried to convince us to pay up by taking one a more expensive SUV in place of the one sedan that they did not have available (actually turns out they did have it available, but wanted to give it to another, higher paying customer). The one sedan available had warning lights in the dash, less than a quarter tank of gas and stunk of old smoke.nnWhen i confronted the agent I was working with about my dissatisfaction on the multiple failed front, the fully grown adult man, literally stomped away, huffing and puffing how he tried his best and cannot work with me anymore. At this point, a manager had to step in and finish the transaction. I could not believe that a professional had a tantrum like a young child. Anyways, to cut this short, we ended up settling for the one more expensive sedan, instead of the originally requested two, in budget small sedans.nnEnterprise, do not accept reservations that you cannot fulfil, we could have saved our time and went to many other Enterprises / rental car companies. Oh and please train your staff better in the basics of customer service.nnNever again will I even risk an Enterprise rental as a result of this one and only Enterprise experience. I have told all my friends and family and will continue to share with my associates when a rental is mentioned. Not had such a bad customer service experience my in life...completely serious.nnEnterprise or Google, if you fear this may not be an accurate / genuine review, I can submit paperwork to attest that I was indeed a customer at this branch and did indeed leave with only more, slightly more expensive rental, instead of the two we had reserved.

ENTERPRISE NEVER GIVE ME WASHED CARS THE MOST THEY DO IS VACUUM. AND THEY HAVE A BUNCH OF HIDDEN FEES LIKE GIVING YOU THEIR INSURANCE WHICH IS 20 DOLLARS A DAY INSTEAD OF LETTING YOU USE YOUR OWN INSURANCE. ON TOP OF A SCRATCH INSURANCE THATS 6.99 A DAY MEANWHILE THEY GIVE YOU A RENTAL WITH DEEP SCRATCHES ON THEM. I WILL BE CALLING CORPORATE TO COMPLAIN.
