Enterprise Rent-A-Car

The most unprofessional customer service ever! Very rude! They say it’s policy for you to have a utility Bill when you pick up a car there, but what if you don’t live there and go to pick up a rental?! They saw my brother and because of his race they didn’t want to even help him and look up his reservation number! I am very upset at the way they treated us. I had his information for him and the man kept cutting me off. I put in a complaint but the woman was making all kind of excuses for them asking how old is my brother as if that mattered and saying that when he said let me call my sister to get my confirmation number that’s where he messed up! That doesn’t make any sense. I am a veteran and a law enforcement officer and this will not end here! Sometimes people look at you and judge you before they know who you are. When asked if they have the same policy at the airport the woman got disturbed cutting me off from what I was saying and said that the airport policy is different. I asked is it not the same company? She it’s the airport not a local store like a rental place different from the location other than a airport. But if it’s the same company the policy shouldn’t change. And like I said if I was visiting from another state I wouldn’t have a Connecticut drivers license and a Connecticut utility bill to show because I am from out of town. So since I am not from there, I cannot get a rental car? Very disgusted with this location!

Best rental experience I've had in New Haven. They were efficient, friendly, professional, and conducted all business outdoors. And I got a sweet upgrade!

The car was filthy when I picked it up. There was visible grime and trash (including used masks) everywhere. I pointed this out to an employee, who offered me additional cleaning. This consisted of another employee spraying the outside of the car with a garden hose. They did not have another car that fit my needs and I needed to get going, so I took the car home and quickly cleaned the interior myself. The only reason I'm giving any more than one star is that the Enterprise call center employees were all very pleasant and helpful. They were profusely apologetic and gave me a $250 credit on my rental. We had no issues with the car and the remainder of the experience was good. I'm not sure what's going on at the New Haven location, but they're definitely not cleaning the cars.

This office is incredibly friendly and easy to work with for rentals. Also good location, walking distance from the NH train station. Thanks for the great customer service!
