Budget Car Rental

The car needed to be serviced and the guy Ali told me not to worry about it. The car was very dirty on outside, I had to wash it before I left on my birthday getaway and there was no windshield washing fluid at all. The car was a 2020 Corolla but felt/drove like it was a 2010. The car shakes after I drove 60mph.

The car had Roaches in it. Had to exchange at a location on way to destination. Truly worst rental experience and completely gross

It’s always a pleasure renting from budget. I never had any problems. staff is always wonderful I don’t rent from anywhere else!!!!

Worst Scam place ever. Please avoid renting anything from here. Unless you want to experience an unpleasant awful time and be scam ripped out of your pockets. With so many bad reviews don’t understand how this place it’s not in the news. Major Red Flag !

If I could leave ZERO stars I would. Worst rental experience ever and I will never return as a customer. First, it’s important to know that I PREPAID for my entire reservation. The car I rented from the New Haven Olive Street location lacked critical maintenance necessary to drive. Reservation was booked for 10 days. I returned the car after 4 days, two of which the car was UNDRIVEABLE because of a bad tire. Budget made NO serious attempts to replace the car and emergency maintenance was not helpful. I was told to try different locations in the area and “maybe” they would have a replacement. Each location was rude and unhelpful. Even if there were cars in the lot, budget would not replace the undriveable one they gave me because pending reservations take priority. They clearly didn’t care at all about my experience because they already had my money. I have call record numbers and every receipt to prove my frustrations. Additionally, I personally purchased windshield washer fluid because the car had NONE, and tire caps for the air pressure valve, as there were also none on the car. In attempting to receive reasonable customer service, I spoke to 8 different representatives over the course of 5 hours of telephone and in person conversation. Budget STOLE MY MONEY in providing a faulty car and no reimbursement for the early termination of the rental reservation. I was directly told by the location employee and phone representatives that EVEN THOUGH THE BAD CAR WAS THE COMPANY’S FAULT, I STILL WOULDN’T RECEIVE A REIMBURSEMENT FOR RETURNING THE CAR EARLY BECAUSE I PREPAID. Not only will this review be posted across social media sites, but I will also file a formal complaint with BBB and Budget’s corporate office. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AND MONEY WASTED. Save yourself the headache and avoid Budget!!!
