Budget Car Rental

The person helping us was friendly and even though the car we were supposed to have was not sent to him he did his best to accommodate us. However, the car we drove from the moment we left said service needed which made me uncomfortable and the front end of the car felt like it had a bairing getting ready to go out. Not exactly safe feeling when you are driving around very curvey roads in the mountains. But all went well.

Lost my reservation. Were no help in trying to rectify the situation. Go anywhere else if possible

Thieves Rent A Car. Rented a car for 9 days. Prepaid the rental in May for a trip in the area in August. Picked up car no problem. Nice experience. Car was well maintained. Got home to find they had charged my card an additional $82. Called and left a message for the manager to call me. Waited a week still no call. Called back and again asked to talk to a manager. Was told he wasn’t in. I had to demand to talk to him and immediately on the line. 19 minutes on the phone. Come to find out that they had incorrectly checked the car back in the day after I returned it. Charging me an extra day of rental. Problem is no way could I have returned it a day later as my flight left the Helena Regional Airport the day I stated for the rental. Manager told me no problems issuing a return to my card. Wait three weeks, you will see money back on your card. Waited still no credit. Called back again and talked to manager. He stated remembered our conversation and had notes and request for my credit. Will resubmit. Nothing, has been done. After the weeks that turned into months to late to do a dispute through my card. Stay far far away from Budget Rent A Car, or rather THIEVES RENT A CAR.

Wish I could give negative stars for this review. We had a reservation for a Ford Focus or something similar and went to pick it up for a two week trip- they gave us a Toyota truck. We have children and lots of luggage with no canopy or covering for it. The response we got was “ that’s all I got” from the charming gentleman working there today. And guess what?! No other car rental places in the area have cards to rent!nSo- I called Budget Customer service and I got hung up on... wait for it... twice.nNEVER RENTING FROM BUDGET AGAIN.

Very good service. Friendly and polite. When we asked for a different vehicle no problem and no hassle. Would recommend them.
