Wow where do I begin?? Terrible service, car was dirty and smelled like smoke. Staff in Hartford location need customer service retraining. Windsor locks location gave me a dirty car and when I got back charged me for gas when I brought it back full. I used to love renting from Avis.. usually don’t bother doing reviews but their service has declined so much in the last couple of years. Will never give them my money again!
Owner of this location and the Berlin turnpike location is a crook. You pay one price leave and if you check your credit card you will see the charge reversed. So when you bring the car back she will wait until you leave and charge a different amount that is always the exact amount of the car and deposit. So you will never get it back. And then remember you gave them your contract so she is gonna say you put your initials on it and she will email you a copy which is not the same. You have been warned. And by looking at the reviews I'm not alone!!!!
We had a reservation. Their site says they close at 4. We even called in the morning to verify the time and our reservation. We drive here from PA and the facility is closed. Are you kidding me? Person on phone says they can't call and check other locations. Worse experience ever.
ATTENTION EVERYONE! DO NOT PREPAY for your booking unless you are absolutely sure. They charge $50 for a cancellation even if you cancel well in advance of the booking date. Thieves!!!
