Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I had a reservation for 730 am. I was there at 720. The mini van didn't arrive until after 8:00; even though they prepared the paperwork for 8:00; didn't want to delay more. I had to go through a Toll to get to my destination close to my planned time of 9:00. I should ask that they pay it. Other than that - the car and the drop off went well.

The car was clean and it was what I rented. The problem I had was with the associates. Upon picking up the rental the associate asked me if i would like insurance on the car should anything happen to it. I , of course said yes, totally unaware that my regular car insurance (like most) has coverage for rental vehicles. That being said, the associate added on insurance for an extra $300 (non refundable). I only realized my mistake after I’d signed all the papers and drove off the lot with the rental. It made me feel a bit uneasy that the associate made it seem like I had to insure the car through enterprise, or else pay out of pocket for any potential damages. I do understand that I should have done my research beforehand, but as a first time car renter I was unaware of the insurance situation. I believe the associate could have asked, do you have car insurance that covers rentals, or would you like to purchase insurance through us? I know it is a business and they want to make money, but I was so upset over this mistake that I returned the car and rented one through Hertz in white plains instead. Lack of transparency really isn’t a good look, enterprise!

Courteous service, delivered as promised. Only glitch was the poor girl working, she was doing it all from washing the cars to the phones to the counter.

Quick and no hassle service! And my rental was upgraded to a luxury coupe for the same price as the regular car. Cannot beat that!
