Fast friendly service.
Do NOT rely on this company in Whitefish! We booked a car rental for a 9PM pickup months in advance. We got off Amtrak, walked into the depot to find that Dollar was closed. I called the service number and some kid named Eddie answers and tells me that they close at 6PM and that they can't do anything tonight. I say that Expedia shows that they are open until 11PM and how is it possible that they would take a 9PM reservation if they will be closed by 6PM. He says there is nothing he will do tonight and that I can come to the depot at 8AM the next day to pick up a car. No apologies, no courtesy, just a broken agreement with zero customer concern. I am in the train depot with my wife and two kids just before it closes for the night, I have a dinner order ready to pick up in town and no car on a Saturday night when there is a big celebration happening in town so taxis are not likely. The manager at the Hertz location in the depot took pity on us and got us hooked up with a similar car and even matched the price we booked our Dollar car for.nnWe will be back to Whitefish for our next Glacier National Park vacation and I will never take Dollar again. To make a commitment and then completely brake that commitment is not only terrible customer service, but a breach of trust that I will never depend upon again.
Arrived Whitefish by Amtrak. Great experience. Dollar delivered our car to the motel and we had it for two days and then we just dropped it off at the train station and hopped aboard. Easy Peezy!
Coming in from Oregon on Amtrak is so convenient to have my rental car waiting at the station. Great customer service
Horrible experience. John had no intention of sticking around for the train. According to Yelp the hours of operation are 8:30 to 10pm. I incorrectly marked pick up as after 7, which based on these hours it wasn’t possible to do a pickup and he knew it. I attempted to contact Dollar at 8:31pm, no one answered the phone and no voicemail is set up. I called two times after the train arrived at 9:03 and 9:08, the phone wasn’t answered until the second call when he informed me that he released the rental. There were no cars available to n Whitefish. I followed up with Orbitz and will also be making a formal complaint to Dollar corporate.
