The check in was smooth.nWhen I dropped the van off I was hit with a $75.00 chip in windshield fee. Make sure you look at the windshield carefully. I, nor did the guy checking me in go over the windshield.nI would guess that they do not fix these very often, and it’s probably the gift that keeps giving for them, an easy 75 charge they can tack onto everyone who doesn’t notice the 2x2mm “chip”

Tried to rent a car from here with my Mother in Law today. Made a reservation online, thought it would be fine. Walk into the building and start giving the clerk our information and come to find out she needs full coverage on her personal car insurance to rent from Thrifty. Even though I would have been included as an additional driver and I have full coverage insurance, that was not enough for Thrifty. They explained the policy is due to their being a local business rather than corporate and they do not have the purchasing power to offer insurance like Enterprise does. So now we are at Enterprise and it has been easy, fast, and satisfying. Maybe Thrifty offers some people a good rental experience but for us it was simply frustrating and nonsensical. I am passionate about supporting local businesses but if you make it hard I have no qualms going corporate. Good luck to anyone trying to rent a car from these people.
