Avis Car Rental

At the Harrisburg, PN, airport, I was given an intermediate car (Toyota Corolla) rather than the full size one (Toyota Camry or similar) and was told I was lucky to have any car at all as there were 3 more people with reservations who were going to be told they had no car for them at 11:00 pm. Worse, the agent said the day before she had to tell that to 10 people. Then, when I turned the car in, I was charged the same price I was quoted for the larger/nicer vehicle. I am Avis Preferred but going I'll use another agency where I get upgraded, not downgraded.

No stars!!!! We made reservations a week ahead of our trip. When we arrived they couldn’t give us the same rate. They in fact doubled the price. The man said we would have to get online and request a refund. When we were obviously upset he didn’t attempt to make things right. He made things worse. He acted like a real jerk with a big smile in his face. No way will I rent from people like that. I will be spreading the word. Bad customer service. Beyond bad!

They never mentioned charges related to Toll .... they do have E-ZPASS attached to the Car. I didn’t know they would charge $12.95 For $2.50 toll charge. And again I charged $10.00 for $1.50 of actual toll which they will probably profit the rest. I feel like it’s not fair at all for a customer. I highly recommend to take their E-ZPASS tag off whenever renting with them.

I felt that way because the customer service on both ends was awesome and the car drives great. Price was aslo good.

Rental car was upgraded for free and vehicle was great but the check-in in process was not that at all a good experience.nI have been charged an extra day and a late fee because the Harrisburg airport is understaffed. I returned by vehicle on Sat but it was not checked in until Sunday.. not a happy camper.
