Avis Car Rental

Worst experience ever. Stopped in to pick up the vehicle I reserved, and not only didn't they have it, they were not even open. All the lights were off and they had a sign on the desk stating they didn't have any vehicles.nHad to spend more money at hertz car rental but it was well worth it, at least they were open and luckily had a vehicle I could rent.nOnly given I star because I couldn't post it unless I gave a rating.

I can't give them even one star.nnWhen I booked online first, we included two car seat rental service which charged us $26. And total was $214.XX. But in the Avis place, a staff said she didn't have any car seat. But she charged the same price, not excluding the $26. I called customer service department and a manage gave his word that he made a note (document) and I would get $26 back when I return the vehicle. But in the returning place, a manager said there is not refund and also he couldn't do anything and he told me to call the customer service again. We had to leave there for our flight and now we are in a foreign country. I can't believe how such a big company has such a bad system which has no interconnection between departments. I really recommend you all not to use car seat rental service before you confirm if they have car seats FOR REAL. Why does the website includes and charge on services they can't guarantee to give us?

Do not ever rent from this Avis. Despite their business hours indicating they will be open and making a reservation in advance, they do not show up to work. We called Avis customer support and their were not able to provide information about their whereabouts either. After two experiences, we will no longer rent from Avis at this location.

I am awaiting resolution via compensation for receiving fromyour SCE office a subpar car reeking of smoke to fulfill a reservation I made through Expedia. When we landed at 10:30 pm on 8/6/2020, assured my reservation of a Ford Focus would be waiting for me (when I called en route), we then inquired at the SCE counter abt sanitation of the vehicle. The Avis employee (a beefy man) assured me Avis took great care of this. Don't u clean for smoke? We called from the parking lot immediately upon opening the door due to stench. When he didn't answer (he must have closed earlier than closing time!), we called Expedia and they tried calling you to no avail. We had no choice but to take the car as we were alone in the parking lot in an isolated area in a town we've never been to at midnight after a trip across country that started at 4 am in San Jose, CA!!!! Subsequently, after repeated attempts on my part to follow up, providing the details in writing via email several times, and having completed the trip on 8/10, why am I still waiting on the customer service attention to satisfy this? And then u have the gaul to ask me for a survey. I think Avis sucks but I will persist in my claim!
