Budget Car Rental

Prices. Service. Bam!

Not a good experience. Reserved and paid for a Suburban (or similar) a month before our trip and received a Yukon. We rented from the Pittsburgh Airport..It was nice but not the space we needed. Much smaller luggage space. Budget could not resolve the issue, but they had no problem charging my card for the amount of a premium SUV. They said that I need to call billing to resolve the issue. Poor customer service.

I use rental cars a lot for work and my experience at this location has been by far the worst.nnI scheduled my pickup at the Penn Hills location for noon on a Saturday and they were closed when I got there because they changed their business hours after I had already made my reservation. They did not call me ahead of time to say that their hours had changed after I made my reservation, so I showed up to see they were closed and that I couldn’t get my rental car.nnAfter talking to a rude call center employee (Carlos) I had to drive to the airport to pick up my car as it was the only location open later on Saturday. Carlos has incorrectly changed the drop off location to be the airport as well. The employee at the airport location could not correct it.nnI later called the call center again for the drop off location to be corrected to Penn Hills and they couldn’t but said I wouldn’t be charged a fee if I just dropped it off at the Penn Hills location. However, when I dropped it off at the Penn Hills location they notified me I would be charged the one way fee. I also had to wait an hour to drop off my car because there was only one employee working.nnIn summary, this is the first time I used Budget instead of another company because they had a location very close to my house. It was the worst rental car experience I ever had and I will never use Budget (Penn Hills or Pittsburgh Airport location) ever again.

Very poor customer experience. Long check in process, Original car not available, car was not ready, waited for them to prepare the car and was told it was being washed for over 30 minutes. Car was not washed and smelled of cigarette smoke. Discovered a burn hole in the rear driver's side seat. Did not appear that disinfecting standards were met based on the information Budget had shared prior to our rental. Hair and hair ties left behind in cup holders and old receipts. Also had to go to the main counter in the airport to complete the return. No regard for the issues shared with the counter representative. Just very disappointing overall. Doubt we will utilize Budget in the future and would not feel good about making a recommendation.

the fact me and my guest were in one of the most uncomfortable cars ever. Despite the garage attendant telling me there were several cars in the same class as the one that was chosen for me the desk clerk refused to swap. She insisted if i changed vehicles i would have to upgrade for more money . Then upon returning the car we were told the desk didn't closed until 1130 we rushed to get there not having time to stop for fuel trying to make it before closing only to find at 1120 no one was there. At this point I'm being charged a fee for returning the car not fueled and charged for an additional day. I have never been so disappointing in my life and costumer service was very little help. The people i had to deal with were just rude and unwilling to accommodate my needs i will not be coming back and will make sure to pass this along to anyone that is in need of a rental.
