If you have the option, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! The woman at the desk was incredibly unhelpful and wasn’t wearing a mask. She rolled her eyes as we walked up and pretty much had it made up that she wasn’t going to help us. She sat back in her chair as if she was Fonzie at Arnold’s diner. She acted like she couldn’t hear us with our masks but as soon as there was a problem she was all ears. We had to cancel our reservation because of her and ultimately go with someone else. Sounds like this woman has been a problem. Seems like the “night manager”. Maybe get rid of her Hertz? I uploaded a photo. Also they don’t let you know that there’s a $400 deposit to drop it off at another location. Use Enterprise.

Pre paid reservation, person at the desk explained I didn’t have insurance. Said I needed to add premium insurance. I get to the car, everything is great then the people who went to let me out of the garage said I can’t have that one and put me in another car. This car smells like Bob Marley himself smoked the biggest blunt in the back seat. The car is disgusting and sticky. I call to try and get ahold of someone, no one answers. I’ve called 7 times at different hours no answer. I finally get ahold of corporate for them to only tell me I need to call the local location.nnI read bad reviews about this place and thought it couldn’t be that bad. IT IS THIS BAD. Avoid this rental location if at all possible. I should have just Ubered everywhere.

I would post zero stars if able. I recently rented a car and was given only one vehicle option. It smelled of cigar smoke and I actually found the trimmed part of a cigar on the driver side floor. I tried numerous times to swap the vehicle out with no luck. This included calls to this location and the location in Latrobe, PA where I never received a call back. I submitted a complaint via the customer support page. All I ever got back was an email stating that my concerns were forwarded to the Pittsburgh International Airport location. I did not drive the vehicle the entire week I had it except to get from the airport and to get back to the airport. When I returned the car, I voiced my concerns and was told to go to the desk to speak to a manager. Of course no manager was present so the clerk took my receipt and told me they would hold the charge until a manager could call and speak to me. No manager ever called me. Then I see that I was eventually charged. I contacted Hertz through Facebook Messenger and explained this situation and was told that I received a $50 discount for my issue. To me, $50 does not equal the terrible condition this vehicle was in. The daily rate was $40! Thanks for basically giving me a one day discount. Additionally, Hertz told me this was a final decision and no future requests to revisit the issue will be considered. I won't be using Hertz anymore. I hate to be that guy and I know I'm only one person, but I know Hertz is not in the best shape financially. Enterprise will get my business from here on out, to include my work related car rental expenses.

Ha, where do I start. Was told I could return at a different location. Don’t be fooled, all Hertz locations are not Hertz corporate. Good luck finding a corporate location that isn’t an international airport. If you are fortune to find a location, be prepared for a fee upwards of $400 to simply return to a different location. Wow, okay. Definitely glad I have to waste 4 hours of my life to return a car that practically served no benefit, just added stress. Also, if I could attach pictures and have you smell the smell that was inside the car during COVID, I’d gladly share. Thank goodness I was fully prepared with Lysol, gloves, and of course my MANDATORY MASK, that the employees can’t even seem to take part in. Glad to see the rental car business is really making a bang for the buck, keep it classy Hertz!
