Stay as far away from this place as you can. Hands down the WORST customer service experience I've ever had in my life. I'm not gonna write a whole story here, but here are some of the problems. Rude staff who seems completely bothered by having to be at work. Their phone number doesn't exist (according to the Verizon message when you call) don't believe me, try it and wait for the menu options to end and it will ring and say (this number is not in service). They have billed me multiple times for things that I didn't use.. i.e. the E-toll (I have my own pass I carry with me), late fees after I called/emailed 3 different times to confirm my rental had been extended. They have charged my card for random amounts after I removed the authorization because I was unable to get anyone on the phone or by email. Then to stop it off I have been trying to get a receipt from them and you would think I was trying to get them to hand over the deed to their house. I had one good experience with a gentlemen from customer service and for that I have to commend him but this company is so ridiculously mismanaged. I know it's the cheap route and you get what you pay for but unless you know your rental is going to to be 100% simple Point A back to Point A, I would spend the extra few dollars on Hertz or Enterprise.

I feel that way because I was pretty satisfied. If the lady working the counter was a little more friendly and not so pushy with trying to get us to purchase the insurance, it would have been a 10. She acted miserable and acted as though she clearly didn't want to be there.

Our original rental car had warped brake rotors causing an unbearable shaking of the steering wheel at any speed over 30. Since we were driving a far distance we decided to find an Avis location along the way to exchange our car. I called and they informed me we could swap it out. When my husband and I arrived at the location the women working there were incredibly rude. They insulted my husband multiple times to the point where he had to leave the building. Once we finally made the exchange of keys we went to the new car to find that it smelt so strongly of cigarette smoke. A kind man who worked there tried to spray air freshener in it but that made only a minor difference. Once we drove off of the property the check engine light came on. This experience has told me that Avis does not care about their customer service interactions or the safety and comfort of their customers. I would much rather pay more to have a safe car and pleasant interactions with the staff.

The booking and payment process were easy. Large selection of vehicles and the drop off process was quick with prompt notification although I was a bit delayed. Great overall experience.
