Budget Car Rental

Absolutely nightmare from start to finish renting from this place. They never have the car you reserve and make you pay for an expensive one ( how convenient for them) OR they have no cars at all!! No idea how this place is still in business. Also, when you call customer service they can’t help you whatsoever. On top of all this they close earlier than they say AND they will authorize your card multiple times when you return the vehicle which puts hold on your account!!!!!!!! Paid around 300 but card was authorized 3 times for a total amount of $909!!!!!! Shadiest business I’ve ever been to.

Good rates. Dirty cars.nnThe last two times I have rented from budget here, the vehicles I have rented have both needed an interior cleaning. Trash on the floors, stains on the seats. Nothing horrific, but just dirty. When I brought it up to the rental counter, they blamed it on Covid, which is a pretty lame excuse. Covid doesn’t keep you from cleaning cars.nnOtherwise, everything else about the rentals has been fine. They don’t try to nickel and dime you much. They aren’t extremely persistent about trying to upsell you on their insurance, and they are friendly and polite.

The worst and rudest place I have been to.nRented a car paid over the phone went to Budget rental car on Broadway to get car and no one was there door was locked called customer service someone showed up after we sat there and waited. Pulled up in car and she rudely says we don't have a car. Then she was laughing being unprofessional The customer service says to go to airport to pick it ups Went there and no car. This business is the worst company I have ever seen. I would NEVER rent from them.

Car was dirty when I picked it up. Leaves and dirt inside. Bottles under seat. Chevy Malibu had damage to right side wheels, quarter panel, and doors. Returned to counter and rep said, “They are all damaged. I gave you an upgrade.”nProceeded to clean the car myself. While using it, I learned the right rear turn signal was inop.
