WORST RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER!!nI requested a full size car and instead was given a compact suv that my family would not be able to have leg room or luggage space. The worst part was it smelt like marijuana covered by cleaners. The smell was so bad I almost threw up many times. I was unable to take the vehicle back right then as I had 30 min to make it to my deceased fathers viewing. I called immediately after and requested a different vehicle. I was told there would be none available until the following day after 10am. I asked if I was going to receive reimbursement or compensation for the first day. I was told it would be handled upon exchanging the vehicles at the counter. Then I was informed upon arriving that It would not happen until I return the car and on my final checkout. When I arrived at 2:45pm the lady sitting behind the counter was extremely rude. Told me they closed at 2pm and could not help me. I then explained everything I had been told and she huffed and puffed and was showing clear aggravation with me. Gets up to the computer hands me my receipt and mumbles that there is no note on the account. As I saw it was to no avail I called customer service again. I was told the only thing that could be done is a $40 voucher being sent to my email. Again I never received that. So I would not recommend your car service due to the lying and run around when trying to resolve an issue. I have never had such terrible experience with any other rental company. I went with Budget this time as it was at the airport versus being shuttled to a car service. The convenience was not worth what I dealt with. I understand that issues may arise but I always depend for on customer service to be ready and willing to resolve the issue without being treated as I was an inconvenience to their day.

The entire process has been a nightmare. I wasn't give the correct/legal/safe car seat I paid for. And my rental car provided was a 5 pass SUV when I paid for a 7. I can't get ahold of anyone for an accurate refund and the place I picked the car up from refuses to answer their phone. I will not be renting with Budget again, going back to Enterprise even though the rates are higher. You get what you pay for. I've submitted claims online and all they want to refund is the car seat cost, not the seat I had to go buy at Walmart when I got there. Not the difference between the vehicle I paid for and the one I got. And nothing to make up for the fact that I had to drive a two year old from the airport to WalMart without a safe car seat. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Had no issues checking out my rental on Mar 23 upon arrival in Medford. Was pleasantly surprised to get upgraded from a midsize car to a SUV, which actually worked better for me.

Would give it 0 stars if that was an option. I made and paid the reservation online for a vehicle which they didn't have, so they gave me the vehicle they had available. After checking my bank account I noticed an additional charge from Budget, so I called customer service and they told me it was for an added insurance. I had declined additional insurance/services online and paid for all my charges and reservation online, but apparently they added extra insurance at the location and never told me! Of course when they told me to put my initials in 4 places, and then my signature at the bottom, I did. I signed thinking I was agreeing to the reservation I had paid for online, the customer service person that helped me never asked me if I wanted to add insurance, instead he added it to my reservation. You would guess they would ask you if you want to add insurance before you rent the car but apparently they add whatever they want....I've rented multiple times from Budget in Portland and other cities and have never had any problems. After spending almost an hour with customer service and multiple supervisors I was given a refund. The money was not the issue but the action that they took, adding something without my knowledge.

This was a breeze of a rental. Beautiful car, quick online order, pick up at the Medford Airport was easy and return was even easier. I have rented from Budget before, this was the best experience.
