Hertz

I only used Hertz because that’s where my insurance covered for a rental. If I have to choose a rental car company on my own it will not be here. I has the worst experience from the beginning.nI tried to reserve a car online, it allowed me to select have the car dropped off to my location. After not getting a call to confirm I called them to find out that wasn’t an option. I’m also happy I called because I don’t believe anyone would have called me.nThe pricing information that was I was given over the phone completely changed when I got there.nnWhen my car was finished being fixed I called them to arrange for the car to be picked up. No one called back. The shop said they could arrange for pick up. I had little option so that is what I did.nStill no call back from Hertz so I called them to see about credit or if they received the car. They didn’t give me any information on what they were going to charge me or credit just that it would happen in a week. Called back again to check on if there would charges. No call back. Well I found out after the amount I already paid they charged me more. I have no idea what for. I have no receipt and call back.nIn my opinion that is horrible service and I will not be going back if it’s my choice.

I had a really good experience with this Hertz location - the pricing was excellent. I just got off the phone with an agent and she was very helpful. Interestingly enough when I tried to go through the website to book my car it had Sunday's blocked off as being unavailable because they were closed. They are open

Terrible service. Called on the Phone and made a reservation. I asked before hand on the phone if my name had to match the credit card as my ID and they said no bc same last name. I used my mother’s card with same last name! When I get there to pick up the car they said I need matching name on the card!! The lady at the front desk was rude. I wouldn’t recommend going here. Would have been good to know that visa debit isn't considered good for a rental in Oregon. Have been using hertz in California for years. Never had a problem. Couldn't rent in Oregon due to this. My car broke down, ended up missing an important appointment.IfI could give the Medford Oregon Hertz less than 1star I would. Hertz just lost a loyal customer for good.

This is just another bad review of a bad operation. I am a President's Circle member and have used Hertz in over 100 different cities. This is truly the worst rental car operation I have ever encountered.nnFirst off, they aren't at the airport. Every other major rental company is. There is zero reason to rent from them just because of this. My experienced worsened as it took 35 minutes to get a shuttle, and this was after 5 minutes of calls to an unanswered number to get the shuttle notified I was waiting.nnThe location is actually a franchisee that also rents Penske trucks and is near auto body shops, and the place is operated more like a towing company than a service organization. The female manager of the location is cold and rude. I returned my vehicle on the expected date of return, gave HER THE KEYS PERSONALLY, and got on the shuttle back to the airport. (another word of caution, their hours are worthless for more than half the arriving or departing flights from Medford Rogue Valley Airport, so again there's little reason to use them unless you want to drop your car off and literally take an Uber back to the airport. For both United and American the last flights arriving for the day will be after this location is closed, so beware) Luckily for me I took a photo of the vehicle sitting in front of the office with the mileage in view because I didn't get a receipt immediately upon return.nnLater I find the car wasn't checked in until TWO DAYS after my return date and I was subsequently charged for this. It took calling for five days to get it resolved and I was actually questioned about when I returned the car in a manner that was appalling. Not only could I provide a photo OF THE CAR SITTING IN THEIR LOT ON MY RETURN DAY, I literally rented another car from Hertz from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport for the extra days they charged me. How in the world was I driving two cars in two different states 1000 miles apart? The worst part of this experience is that after clearly proving I returned the car when my contract stated I would and they realized it was their error, they didn't even bother to apologize. The manager did not care at all that this had happened, and I was sincerely polite during the entire encounter, despite enough frustration to make being a jerk almost justified.nnThis was such a bad experience that it's almost not even believable, but if you read countless other reviews you can see there is no effort on their part to run a quality operation. I travel to Medford at minimum monthly and have used National the last two times. They are by far a better choice.
