Thrifty Car Rental

After paying for rental in full they refused to give me my car because my Visa card is a debit...they took full payment from the same card. They left me stranded at the airport. Horrified!

I was very pleased with the car I received but I am very upset with the customer service. I booked online with Expedia and opted in for the damage waiver. When I picked up the car the agent asked if I wanted the damage waiver and I said yes because I had included it when booking. She told me the charges were the deposit and where I had already paid online it would be refunded when I returned the car. After returning the car I saw that not only was I charged the online booking fee but and extra $217 for damage waiver so essentially I was charged twice for the same service and they refuse to refund the money. Think twice and ask slot of questions before renting from thrifty. Obviously you did not read my whole review Jeremiah because I did not have a completely good experience I was overcharged so for lack of observation I'm changing my review

Price was great and car was clean. My only complaint is the agent helping me was on the phone making a personal call while serving me!

Watch out for the hidden fees, they show up weeks after rental
