I made a reservation on 1/16/2021 via Expedia w/full cancellation until 5/26/2021. I was planning to do a half marathon in that area. I was called today by the business demanding full payment today or they would cancel my reservation and give it to someone else due to increased inquiries. Clearly, a money grab by the business. Given that the race was cancelled last year due to COVID I wanted the flexibility that full cancellation gives which is why I pay extra for that.
This is the only hotel that didn’t show any emphatic behavior with the travelers for the Covid-19 emergency. Other companies offered a refund even with non-refundable fees. We are not traveling because we value our lives and the others’ lives more. I don’t think is worthy to support business that are so selfish.
