Avis is the all around best rental car firm. To top this, our center in Pellston, Michigan has the Nicest and Friendliest person EVER at the counter! She goes WAY above and Way beyond just good customer service. She Gets The Job Done! We Love Her!

I appreciate this particular AVIS so much because they work with me when I have flights that don't coincide with their working hours, they retain and return items for me that I have inadvertently left in the car, and today, she even helped me coming in and took the keys and through my trash away for me since my arms were full. Amazing customer service!!!

Safety of customers, dependable vehicle friendly staff. Car was clean well care for if I didn't feel right about something it was addressed right away. Thanks to the staff at pellston, mi location.

Horrible experience. Limited fleet of old cars. The cleaning agent they use smells like tobacco and left me with bad allergies and a headache until I finally got the car aired out. The cherry on top is that the staff don't wear face masks but rather have a thin piece of plastic covering their chin- they stated this was to help with their customer service. Clearly, they care more about maintaining a facade rather than practicing safe and effective COVID protective measures.nnBottom line-- if you don't want an old, smelly, Toyota corolla from the 2000s, or if you don't want to contract COVID from their reckless employees, find another car rental agency.

Unfortunately, we had to move our drop off location to another base in Michigan (from Pelston to Detroit) due to a COVID related emergency. Avis refused to accommodate us and insisted on charging us the extra fee of $75 for the drop off. Unlike other corporations which have waived change fees like Delta this was extremely disappointing.
