We booked our car online for $709.00 (Mustang for a 6 days). We then arrived in Miami from Chicago on our honeymoon. When we entered Hertz, the gentlemen that was helping us was kind, but the manager was not helpful at first. We were told that we needed to put a “hold” of $200 on the car with the same credit card that we used to book online. So we handed the nice gentlemen our Apple MasterCard and after trying to run it a few times, we were told that because it’s an Apple Card, it was not going to go through. Although when we booked online, the card had no issue being charged $709.00. He then called the manager who wasn’t helpful at all and just told us to call customer service. At this point we had been there for a half hour after traveling all morning. We called customer service and were on hold for 25 minutes, then someone finally picked up and it took them another half hour to basically cancel my transaction and book it under a different credit card I had. I was told the price would not be different and would remain the same. Fast forward an hour later. We are finally about to get the Mustang for our honeymoon that we rented, we were then told that we still owe $130 on top of the $709.00 that was charged to my second card and on top of the 200$ hold. I told the guy “no we were told the price of $709 would remain the same”, and I made sure to have the customer service agent on speaker when I asked that question multiple times so that the Hertz employee can hear the confirmation of no price change. He told us that whoever helped us over the phone basically messed up the total amount the was owed and he couldn’t do anything on his end. The manager came over again and told us to call customer service again to try and dispute the $130 charge. At this point we had been at Hertz for OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF instead of driving 2 more hours to keywest. At that point I started to cry because I was so tired from traveling and having my wedding the day before and tired of not being helped by the Manager who COULD HAVE helped us resolve this issue hours ago! The least he could have done was speak to customer service to help us resolve this issue. But instead he wanted us to call customer service AGAIN and try and dispute the charges either before we left Hertz or on our honeymoon before we returned the car. After seeing how upset I got, he then told the nice gentlemen to waive the fee (which yes I am thankful for but also HE COULD HAVE DONE THAT EARLIER, especially because he saw the struggle we had gone through with customer service). I still said thank you even tho in reality, I was being overcharged $130.00 which should have never happened in the first place. Fast forward a week later we wanted to return the car, we were told by customer service we could drop off the key at Trump international hotel in Miami, which is what we did. 3 days later I get a notification on my bank statement saying we were charged 33$ per day for three days after returning the car. My husband and I called Hertz again and they said it was a “mistake” and that hold should have never happened. Especially because we returned the car a day earlier than we were even scheduled to. They said the charge would be reversed but it’s been 8 days and the three charges are still on my credit card account. This whole experience was a mess and honestly, I do not recommend nor will I ever do buisness with this company again.

They made me wait for 2 hours and then told me I couldn’t rent the car... stay away got to another place, there was an employee a Cuban guy older who is rude and nasty, the young Colombian kid is cool that’s why I’m putting two stars instead of one
