Good service car was dirty
The check in process took far too long. I didn’t get the car I ordered and was told to “take it up with Priceline.” The car’s exterior was filthy (dead bugs all over windshield and front grill, paint flicks and scratches everywhere, and the windshield glass was scratched as well.) While I understand the precautions, I couldn’t hear nor understand half of what was being explained by the employee between the mask, sneeze guard, and roped off area so you couldn’t stand close to the counter as well as the obnoxious carpet cleaner being used in the check in lobby. I could barely reach the counter over the rope to sign the agreement. I will never use Hertz again, especially the PDX location. Save yourself the trouble and use another rental agency.
Always love the service, hope they survive
This was my first time renting a car through Hertz. Their customer service was terrible. The customer service representative at the front desk was very hard to understand and even when asked for clarification on things, she was very vague. I ended up getting charged an additional $350 for insurance when I told her that I did not need it. When I called the customer service number, they told me there is nothing they can do. It is very frustrating as now I am out $350 due to something I said I did not need. I will NEVER be renting from Hertz ever again!
Easy entrance to find. Clear instructions to find parking spot for Hertz cars. After hours drop box for keys is next to the attendee booth.
