I was given a car that was filthy, the tires wouldn't hold air and had to be filled 2X/day (consequentially killing my own portable air pump and not only costing me that money but then having to go to gas stations and pay for air on top of it), and the car needed an oil change. Hertz allowed me to switch out this car (which I had to drive 20 mins to the Hertz to swap the car out in the middle of the work day because the hours for Hertz close at 4 which is terrible because people do in fact need to work for a living. A total over over an hour of my time just to get a working car not to mention the additional hour of time in rush-hour traffic getting home). A day after I returned the 2nd car I get a charge for $30.22 for fuel even though I returned the car full and the notes show that the car was returned full. Hertz couldn't help me so I had to call the 800 # and NOT enjoy the lengthy automated system. Then spend an absurd amount of time on hold waiting for a representative. Just to have the rep confirm multiple times that the car was returned full but he has to check into why I was charged. The car was returned full. Reimburse me. It's simple. I should not have been charged. I then spent even more time arguing because you want a receipt weeks later even though it has been confirmed and re-confirmed that the car was returned full!!!!!!!!! To say I am angry is an understatement. I then had to get a supervisor on the phone because Hertz wouldn't reimburse me AGAIN YOUR OWN NOTES SHOW THE CAR WAS RETURNED FULL!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally the supervisor says it was for that first car that they are charging me for (over a week later)! That car that cost me countless time and money because it was a total lemon!!!!! Overall it took 45 minutes on the phone to get reimbursed. There goes even more waisted time because of Hertz... I have to say this was a terrible experience. I will not be going back to Hertz. It doesn't seem that being a member does anything for you anyway. I will not use Hertz nor will I recommend to anyone. To top it off. I got a survey and typed all of this into the survey but even Hertz's survey page doesn't work so I couldn't send in the survey. Talk about terrible!!!!!

Scheduled a truck and prepaid a week in advance to be picked up at 4:30 on friday (website shows pickups at 4:30 and 5). When I got there they were supposedly closed at 4:30 due to covid, website still showed 5:30 and on the phone says 5:30 (also no info of this on covid disclosure page). They didnt bother to email or call me that they close at 4:30. Spent 2 hours trying to find another vehicle cause we were moving out of state. Called customer service to get my money back and was told it wont be here for 7-10 business days, so had to scavenge for more money just to rent another vehicle from another company. Absolutely frustrating.

We called and begged them to wait, as we were going to a funeral out of state and needed a rental car asap. We arrived when we said we would, but they didn't wait the 2 minutes. "It's against company policy." Well, that's ok. We got a better deal, better car and better service at Budget rental in Salt Lake. The Budget rental in Ogden is great too! Budget rental has better hours! Budget rental is where you should go for better cars, better hours, better prices, better service. Budget rental is overall a better rental company.

Horrible experience. Mathew Johnson is a horrible owner, lacks any customer service and overall coast me $600 for not doing his job correctly. You do not add to hutz guarantee on customer service and you should be removed from the coronations because you do not know how to run a business.

I dropped a car off and two days later the corporate office call me saying I hadn't returned the car. They directed me to call the location. When I called this location during business hours no one answered the phone and I couldn't leave a message because their voice mail box is full. I'm being charged a penalty for not returning the car on time. This is the epitome of shady business practices.
