Avis & Budget Car Rental

Amazing, helpful service! They sent a driver to pick us up at the ferry (but we missed it, oops!) and let us leave our pile of suitcases in the office while we grabbed dinner in town. They also helped us find a better vehicle to suit our needs!

I've rented a car three times from this Budget location, which is a quick walk (or free lift!) from the ferry terminal. The owners are friendly and never charged me for scratches or anything, unlike their competitor that starts with an E ud83dude09 Great rental experience!

My Sweetie and I were vacationing in Olympic National Park, driving deep into the mountains when the check engine light came on the panel of the Volkswagen Beetle we had rented from Avis in Seattle. The manual had no information, and after waiting nearly an hour for Avis roadside assistance to answer the phone, we were feeling desperate, fearing we might lose a big chunk of our precious vacation to car trouble, with nowhere to turn for help. We located the number of the VW dealership in Port Angeles, who assured it was safe to drive the car in to an Avis outlet. They gave us the phone number for Avis in Port A, but it was after 6:00 p.m., and we were not optimistic. We were able to get Brook on the phone at Avis, who listened to our sad story, and assured us he could fix us up with a car. We brought the VW in, and were given the only available car they had on the lot. This was right before they closed for the day. Saved our vacation. We just wanted to give Brook some love.

Be Careful when you book a car over one of the big travel websites. As it really says in the fine print somewhere far down below, they are a licensee and they do NOT honour the unlimited milage stipulation when you leave their area. (Washington and Oregon) I had to go to California and that was revealed to me when I came to get the car and had no chance any more to make other plans. So as soon as you leave their area they give you 100 free miles a day and charge 30 cents for every mile above. And in that case they charge you also for Oregon and Washington. Nice surprise when I came back. So instead of the unlimited milage that you have booked on the website you get 100 miles free and 30 cents for every other mile. They gave me a discount, thank you very much.
