Great friendly service. We called a couple places and they were most helpful. The sights were amazing - blue heron, bald eagles, etc. amazing experience and highly recommended!!!
We were not familiar with the area and wanted a guided tour, but there is a minimum of 4 people people. We were orientated to the river and the area we paddled in was very peaceful, but we had to go through an area with numerous powerboats going by. My fiancé was not comfortable paddling because his seat was not clipped in, so his back was aching. I guess my advice would be to look through all your boat options before launching.
Very disappointing. We called on Saturday to inquire about renting/buying kayak on Sunday. They told us they would be fine to just show up at 10:30 Sunday. We drove an hour from Denton to go kayaking, and when we showed up the shop was closed. We called all three numbers listed, in addition to emailing them, and there was no response. The sign on the door says they are available, and to call their number for service. We are now waiting on the side of the road, wasting our time and 2 hours of driving for this experience. Inexcusable.
Lovely and helpful owner... pretty, tranquil spot to paddle with freedom to go where you want and end when you're ready
