Beware of this company. I CLEARLY stated to the agent that I did not need their car insurance because my personal auto insurance covers rentals. The agent then proceeded to charge my card an additional $94.39 for insurance after I had prepaid for the car rental through Expedia. Thrifty refuses to cancel the charges saying that I authorized the payment. How do you claim authorization for a charge that you have clearly declined with given explanation? Thrifty in Lafayette is a DISHONEST company. THIS IS THEFT.

Horrible experience. Showed up at the car rental and realized my husbands license was expired which was 100% our fault but in order to cancel and rebook with me as the primary driver we ended up waiting at the airport for over 2 HOURS on the phone because their customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. I absolutely do not recommend

Avoid at all cost. Was double charged for same rental (2 completely different amounts). Credit claim has failed and thrifty refuses to answer the phone on their support line. Absolutely 0 explanation to the two charges, this company is in the business of blatant theft

Beware! Beware of inflating charges! I reserved the vehicle online for $182.21. When I picked it up the charges were $200.11. After I returned it, I was sent an email for 218.44. I was charged 16.48 for fuel even though I filled the car up with gas. Beware!

Flew in last Saturday 2nd at 10 pm. The desk help was super friendly and not pushy. That was the good! Bad was I was told car just came back so not washed but was ok. Front of car covered in bugs and windshield. My car was on almost empty with 70 miles ish left. Never in 25 years have I rented a car on empty. I went back to ticket counter and said I am not returning this car full as warned and it would be left on empty. I do have a photo of this.She did say she will note that and suggested a gas station down the street. Total bc! Flew 5hr and had 45 min drive ahead. Had to fuel up before my travels. In the light the car was not clean. Rolled up straw wrappers in rear seat and french flies on the floor. Looks like a soft drink spilled in cargo area on the side and gear area was sticky. Very let down and angry for the price paid! First and last with this company!
