Booked a reservation online, they had my truck clean and ready for me when I arrived. I was able to extend my rental from just 1 day to all weekend. Pick up, extending and return process was simple. Location was super busy both times I visited, staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely use again when I need a rental vehicle.

During this pandemic on 1-11-21 someone from Hertzs tried to pick me and 3 others upnfrom Priority Collision in a Ford Focus. No social distancing, requested for them to come back and pick me up. They were not happy!!nnThis is the second time I’ve had problems here. Last time had to walk from Priority because they said they were too busy to pick me up.nnWill be contacting State Farm later today

I rented from this location starting November 12th and returned the car on December 14th. The customer service is poor everyone has an attitude as if they did not make a choice to work at this establishment. The place is ran down and I was told if I did not return the car vacuumed I would be charged a $300 cleaning fee, the car was dirty when I received it. The whole experience was horrible even the 1800 line wasn't useful. I cancelled the optional insurance 5 days after I started renting the car Harold told me I could not receive a receipt because the printer was down. Once I returned the car my card was charged 907.14 for 33 days of insurance. I was told that day Friday December 14th, that the mistake could not be corrected the manager had to fix it. I called today (Tuesday) Darrick told me that the woman who helped me (the only nice person in there) gave him a list of things to fix and he would get to it within a hour, it has now been 7 hours and my account is still over drafted. Not to mention the other 6 times the card was charged. If you want fast, EFFICIENT, FRIENDLY service please visit your nearest ENTERPRISE! This has been by far the worst experience I have had renting a car. Enterprise charges your card ONE time this place will post pending charges every other day. My account was over drafted a total of 6 times and has YET to be RESOLVED. I should've waited for a car elsewhere.nnUpdate:It will take 7 to 10 business days to reflect on my account. Hopefully it’ll be corrected but who knows.

DO NOT RENT FRON THIS LOCATION. I have their “so called” upgraded service where I can just grab and go. The guy ended up charging my card twice for the amount and claimed their was a “glitch” in the system. Them he asked for a debit card and charged that as well. I had contacted billing support and they provided NO help after being on the phone for 45 minutes for them to answer. She then put in a call to the Chesapeake location who refused to answer the phone when I called. He called me back to state he doesn’t know what I’m talking about and stated he would call me back and never did. They held my money for a week even after a call to my bank. It was a mess. They never offered anything for my inconvenience or anything! They charged me for an extra day.A huge waist of time.

There's clearly a reason the review score is this low, by far the worst service we've ever recieved from a rental agency, and the first time we've ever used hertz. The last time, as well. We're going to stick with Enterprise, since they don't lie to us at every interaction, and make the customer out to be the bad guy whenever they themselves screw up. I'd go on, but I doubt the branch manager even has the competency to read this, so what's the point. Just stay away from this company and the shameful liars that run it.
