Lux Rental

Our pick up was scheduled for 930am at Portland airport, by 1045 our car had still not arrived. It arrived at 11 AM (90 minutes late.) At 10:45am the driver Kevin called me and asked what we were wearing. Then he asked if we were a group of girls, then he asked if we were a group of couples. What a strange question to ask about the gender/relationship status of your riders! Once our driver Kevin arrived he did not offer to help us with our luggage. The car smelled horribly like cheap air freshener and cigarettes. Also the car was filthy and not cleaned as Turo promised. when I asked Kevin to please remove the air freshener he threw it on the ground outside. I asked Kevin to pick it up and please do not litter in our presence. Kevin drove unsafely by following the vehicle in front of us too close. then Kevin took a personal phone call without using a hands-free device which is illegal in the state of Oregon. when I asked him to please refrain from using his cell phone while driving us he began yelling at us and said there were no cops around. we were all very scared and just wanted to get to the rental car location safely so that we could get away from Kevin. he continued yelling at us on our drive to the rental car location. He threatened to drop us off in the middle of an industrial area with no taxis or people around. It would’ve been very unsafe to drop us and abandon us with no vehicle. We were all very scared. Once we arrived to the rental location (Lux rentals) Kevin said he was canceling our rental car and we would be stranded with no way out. Luckily my friend was able to get the keys from him and we drove to a safe location once Kevin was out of the car. for your own safety, do not rent a car from Lux rentals! this was a horrifying & frightening experience.

Great people and fantastic cars. They have an incredible fleet of luxury and sport cars. The service was fast and helpful. Be prepared that they want you to bring it back washed and vacuumed, which was a bit tricky as I don't have a yard to wash it in, nor a vacuum cleaner. It also smelled as if someone had spilled a bottle of cheap cologne in the car, but other than that, great people and a great ride.

Car was beautiful, amazing experience! The staff is awesome and I was even driven home (in the snow) after dropping off the car. Will absolutely be doing business with Lux again very soon.

Just successfully concluded my first experience with Lux Rental and I couldn’t be happier. This was by far one of the smoothest and most convenient interactions I’ve had when renting a car. Not just that, but everyone I interacted with was extremely helpful and kind. The team went above and beyond to ensure I was accommodated.nnI’m looking forward to utilizing their services again in the near future and suggest everyone does the same. Especially in challenging times like these, we should all support such positive small businesses putting the customers first.
