Hertz

The air conditioning didn't work and the car smelled like smoke in the first one.q I can't believe the guy who brought it to us didn't notice. Fine, so we took it back to the airport and they replaced it. When it was time to return it we called several times to have them pick it up and the phone just kept ringing. We left it at the car repair shop because they said they would take care of it. Hope they did.

Don't use they are completely incompetant

While the staff are very friendly, the cars are not great. The first rental I had reaked of marijuana and the engine was making some strange noises. I did get a new one when I asked as I was driving 4 hours away and didn't want to risk getting pulled over with that smell. I just picked up a rental car again and the cigarette smell is so strong I have to drive with the windows down (in February). I have bad allergies/asthma so wish they had done a bit more for the smell. I have not had this issue with other companies, and am 0 for 2 with Hertz. Very disappointing.

They did not say anything about the security deposit that they need to let you have the rental.

Usually helpful. Online can be messy though.
