In the COVID era we try to give more grace. However, Budget Car Rental in Naper West Plaza deserves nothing of the sort. We had confirmed a specific rental van prior to pick up. Upon arrival it was no where to be found. We were given a lesser version of the van. My husband drove it to our home and I followed. Upon inspection the car was...disgusting. The cupholders will filled with old chips. The dashboard and surfaces had not been touched. Cheetos were crushed into the seats and floors. In FACT there was a LOOSE bag of Cheetos sitting a la carte in the back seat. We scrubbed the car down ourselves and still found chewed gum stuck to the windows along with various other disturbing things. I wouldn't trust this company to provide clean and adequate service in the best of times but this was shockingly gross. No swipe of the vacuum or twirl of the dust wand here! I would 0/10 recommend this experience. Spend maybe $50 more and go to Enterprise or literally any other rental service. There was also major inconsistencies based on who we talked to about the drop off procedure. Thank you, NEXT.

The budget store in Shorewood was great the employees and management could not have done any more unfortunately budget lies in Rents you cars they do not have And then when you ask for a credit on your card immediately so you can rent somewhere else they tell you know it will be 48 hours so make sure you check all your limits good but if they don’t have a car you’re screwed

First time i felt Budget is better than rest of them. Was on monthly rental for the past few months. Tried Enterprise and hertz before i accidentally came for 3 weeks rental with budget. Both price and service were really good. Was able to update cars in between as the have a wide range of vehicles(though their inventory capacity is limited). The price for SUVs were better than others(both online and instore). Though the lady recommended the byproducts, she didnt use the make-you-feel-guilty approach to push them on me. She understood my unique situation and extended rental promptly in a way i get better deals even if i was not available by phone.nnIt was surprisingly far better experience than what i had with Budget(different city) years ago.nn(Ofcourse, they dont have the pick up/drop service like Enterprise and after hours drop off service like most other offices which they improve.)
