Fast, friendly service with a nice upgrade option.
From beginning to end it was poor service. Also a very poor condition of vehicle.. when I arrived at the airport, no one was attending the desk. Then the attendant could not process my paperwork because of a computer error. The car I received had 44k miles and looked as though it had been in multiple accidents. I needed to call customer service to change drop off location. This took multiple calls because they had computer issues. When I returned the vehicle, no one was manning the customer service booth so I had to walk back to the terminal to ask for assistance
My trip to Charleston Airport on 12/11/20 was an ease as a preferred customer. I picked up and dropped off with no contact. Easy and fast.
My husband and I were on our way to return our vehicle and got a flat tire. There was no spare tire in the trunk. We called the emergency Avis number and we were on hold. My husband asked that I call AAA just in case. AAA took my call, came, examined the tire, and towed it before Avis emergency even took our call. Once my husband was put off hold, the operator hung up on him! We missed our flight, had to rebook for a later flight at our expense, and call an Uber. We came into our final destination much later than expected.
Charleston Airport was the worst. It was a super long walk, very confusing on where to go. On top of that, I cannot download the dam receipt. Pathetic!!! The car also smelled of cigarettes. Who rents cars that smell like smoke! UGH! I'll never use AVIS again!!!!
