Make sure you look at what your signing. The guy at the counter asked me if I wanted extra insurance, I said no. Apparently I signed saying I wanted it. Cost almost $200 more. When I called they said the transaction was final and they would do nothing to help me. Stick with enterprise or hertz, I’ve had better experiences with them. I’ll never use Payless or Avis again!

Horrible experience. I arrived and called the company about their shuttle service. They told me that a shuttle goes every 10 minutes. 30 minutes later, I decide to take a cab there and it turns out the company is closed and we’re supposed to rent the vehicle through Avis. No advance notice. No sign at the rental car location. Absolutely horrible...

What a train-wreck of an operation. Pickup is off-site, that’s fine. But there’s no shuttle to get you there. After paying an $11 Uber, I show up to pickup my rental and there’s a sign on the door reading “Pickup is at Avis at the airport.” Are you kidding me??? Nothing was in the notes about this and the customer service agent I spoke to BEFORE leaving the airport didn’t say anything about it either. On top of all this, there’s no signage at the Avis counter that I had to Uber BACK to just to get my car. Avoid at all costs.

As I Write this, I am sitting waiting for the shuttle.... that has not showed up in over 45 minutes. The phone number to to a call center, somewhere on Mars..... the guy said there is no direct line to the company

By far the worst customer service in the industry. Don't bother with a reservation in advance. I would recommend renting away from the airport. Payless and Avis are one in the same, and both would get a 0-star review if that was an option.
