Hertz

I rented a car at Hyatt Regency location for a week and a half. With a short notice, the only car available was a black sedan at that time. I preferred lighter color but there was no choice and I drove it off. The sales rep was very welcoming and the contracting process went very smoothly. Next day, I went to a rental storage and found a key scratch mark on the side of my car when I came out of the storage building. I wasn’t driving rudely or took someone’s parking spot. The damage was not so extensive but I just felt uncomfortable driving the black sedan and decided to exchange with something available. My phone call to Hertz went to a call center somewhere in the US mainland and the music kept on. Maybe because of shortage of representatives due to the COVID-19.nI drove in directly to their Rental Return and explained what happened. They checked it and told me not to worry. There was a white sedan available that day in the next up category, and I happily drove it off. The representative there was again, very cordial, kind and helpful. The car was clean and I even enjoyed driving the car.nAfter returning it in the morning of the last day of the lease, I realized I left my temporary parking pass hung under the rear view mirror. It was already late afternoon and it was a small piece of construction paper and I assumed it was thrown away as a trash by then. Since it was nearby, however, I decided to give it a try and went back to ask if they happened to see it. I was so warmly surprised that they started looking for it for me. They even looked through the trash can. After all, we found it on the floor of the car wash site. I am a Japanese national and I can’t describe my gratitude in writing so well but I felt I was treated with such a warm Aloha.nThank you very much!

It's an unpleasant place for Korean staff to explain rental car rentals in English, which can be difficult for Korean customers.
