Rented a car for a month in July. Older car, but no issues. In fact, I think it helped the blend in and avoid smash and grab that happened in one at one the west side beaches we visited. AC worked great. Saved hundreds over the big name rentals. And excellent customer service. The owner even gave me a ride to the airport.

Older cars but you cannot beat the price in honolulu. Extremely friendly service as well but remember you are renting old used cars but a.c works and it gets u from a to b location. Also the car fits in as a local car intead of a rental. 100% would go back
