I had excellent service. There was one gentlemen that assisted me with getting my car. He is from Boston, and can't remember the name but he was great. I was it was on airport but for the price was worth the walk.

Excellent service at this location and happy with the car. I rented for a month and pickup and drop off was easy. The location was a bit hard to find but otherwise recommended. Their prices are a much better deal than getting direct from the airport and the location is sooo close to HNL.

Worst travel experience I’ve encountered. Hertz made us walk 1/2 mile to the location outside of the airport. Then, we waited for 2.5 hours. An hour and half before getting to the counter then another hour for them to wash the car. And the staff were extremely defensive and unable to communicate the issues. Then said to us to make sure and call the office 2 hours before returning the car to make sure someone is there to receive the car. Really? Never Hertz again and will also complain to Amex given they partner with them.

Ken and his staff are very friendly and are willing to accommodate to all your needs. They do courtesy calls to their customers to make sure they're satisfied. They clean and sanitized everything.

My wife and I reserved a car at this location for our honeymoon. We were on the island for 4 days prior to picking up the rental. We camped in a VW bus prior. We had all our documents on the safe travel portal.nWe were greeted by an elderly man who appeared to be the manager. We provided him all of our paperwork. He then asked for our boarding passes. I advised him that we used electronic passes and they have been cleared by delta. He told us we could not rent a car unless I provided him one. He told me that the safe travels site states this fact, but could not produce proof when asked. I read the site multiple times and have not found it. His reason was because if my flight was delayed into Hawaii, the time frame of my covid test would be out of the 72 hrs. The safe travel site states that if your flight is delayed, it will not be held against you.nMeanwhile, the guy next in line was w a different employee and he told me he didn’t have to produce one.nI went to surrounding rental sites (also the Hertz on airport property)and they had never heard of a boarding pass requirement. All others were sold out of rental cars leaving us stranded. Fortunately, we had friends staying on the island.nThe manager was rude, a liar and was of no assistance in our predicament.nTo this day I haven’t found boarding pass requirement on the site.
