LaRae was very professional and efficient. My vehicle was ready as reserved. One drawback is that this location requires the Insurance Declaration page vs. the standard Proof of Insurance card I have in my wallet. I was able to download and email it in about 5 minutes, but it was unexpected. Return process was easy. I always stay to get my receipt, that way I am not surprised by charges.

Seconding some reviews I've seen here: THE WORST.nnTerrible service, for starters. Secondly, they charged me double the amount I was told it would be. Staff is unhelpful at best, really rude at worst. I'd avoid renting from this location if possible.nnI had to sit and wait for nearly an hour the morning of my reservation (despite being the only customer there) because they required an obscure insurance documentation — rather than the standard proof of insurance card in my wallet that, for instance, you'd show a police officer at roadside. It made me an hour late to my destination.nnAfter I dropped the car off, I pulled up my receipt online a few weeks later and realized I'd been charged double what they'd told me on the phone. They have a 24-hour policy and will charge you for two days if you don't return the car within 24 hours. I was not told this was the case; when I booked, I told them my plans for pick-up time and drop-off time, and they told me the price. Likewise, I told them when I'd return the car the morning I picked it up, and still no one said it would be a two-day charge. Lastly, when I dropped the vehicle off, no one told me I would be charged for two days.nnI called to discuss the two-day charge with the staff and was met with rigidity, interruptions and hostility -- absolutely no care or concern for the issues at hand and, obviously, absolutely no attempts to rectify what I perceived as an intentional misunderstanding meant to charge me for two days instead of for the single-day reservation.nnLastly, this is a privately owned location, so any concerns you have cannot be addressed by the broader Hertz company.

The worst. Made a reservation for a car over a week ago. Time came to get the car and they say they have no cars. What was my reservation for? They said they did not have even one car on their lot. Not to mention we had been trying to call them for a week but no one ever answered the phone and they didn't check the multiple messages we left. No one wants this level of difficulty. It's ridiculous.

Very helpful & good svc. Good prices for the car we needed. Def will use again.

I have always rented from Enterprise. And after this experience, I will never rent from Hertz. State Farm set me up with Hertz after one of their customers hit me. The office was a mess, papers scattered around on floor and table (get some filing cabinets). The male Hertz employee had a mouth of chew. He literally spit his chew into a plastic coke bottle in front of me and my daughter. I thought I was going to puke ud83eudd2e I had issues with the vehicle they rented me. I brought back to exchange. No professionalism. The girl just complained the whole time, slammed papers and pens on desk. I understand having a rough day but you have to keep it together. I would think twice before you rent from Hertz on Madison Blvd. in Madison.
