The rental was very cheap compared to other rental companies. There was no shortage of vehicles, even for one-way. I called to confirm the morning of pickup, and they were quick to the phone and prompt with responses. Check out and in were both extremely quick, probably 5 minutes each. There was a minor issue with check in (contract in the computer system showed a different gas level at check out than my handwritten form from the agent had). They fixed it without me even having to ask. Great experience on both ends.nnThe car was an upgrade, and it was very clean.

Since we are all worried about the threat and danger of Covid I assumed that the rental would be clean. The car was great, but it was dirty! There were white dog hairs and candy wrappers in back seat. It wasn't filthy and I didn't notice it until I was on my way, but to me this meant it had not been cleaned at all! I don't mind a few stray wrappers ordinarily, but COVID pandemic is here (!!)and the indication that nobody cared enough to clean it for us was a shocking and dangerous neglect under the circumstances.

EZ Check in. EZ Check out.nAccepted local driver license (as sometimes, the locals just wanna get away via car). Loved the process (allowed me to provide info prior to arriving for faster check-in). Super-friendly host/staff. You are the go to now.

I picked up the car with my two children. The first vehicle they gave us was filthy. We are in the middle of a pandemic and it looked like the windows were left open overnight. There was some type of sticky film all over the driver's seat. They then gave us a second car. That had personal belongings in it, hair ties trash bags etc. Clearly not cleaned. At this point we were fed up and they told us they had no other car. We had to go and clean the car ourselves. I am immuno compromised and it is completely unacceptable that the car was given to us in this condition. In comparison, the prior week we rented enterprise and the car was spotless and verified. It is completely unacceptable that we had to spend 2 hours disinfecting our own car. It is clear you are not putting the safety of your customers first. Only profit.

Avis has friendly, helpful staff. Easy to extend when on business trips. The no smoking stickers plastered all over windows and the dash though is a bit dated, also not a sleek experience, as compared to companies that use the floating no smoking sign; and/or do without. Some of my coworkers get economy or an equivalent and mentioned they have been overwhelmed with Nissan Sentra's. Otherwise, I like Avis, I've argued to keep Avis as our corporate rental company. So for now, we're still satisfied and would rec. to other small businesses.
