Family members& I have been affiliated with Enterprise for several decades starting in New York back in the 1990's. I personally have used other companies but came back to Enterprise for several reasons and recently that was the case for being reintroduced to Enterprise. In May of this year I rented a vehicle from Enterprise because the customer service at another rental company had become lousy. The day I arrived at Enterprise to pick up the rental was on my daughter's birthday and the mother's day weekend. The location was closed due to the pandemic and how I was able to make an online reservation to a closed location was beyond my understanding. I was then directed to another location and a staff member stayed after closing hours to make sure we got a car and that pay attention to customer satisfaction was refreshing until June 4, 2020.nOn June 4, I picked up a rental and on that particular day it was rain so hard outside. Of course during this pandemic period most companies do not allow guest to enter company buildings, as such is the practice of the Enterprise but the representative had me waiting outside so long. So what I did was just stepped inside, stood in front of the entrance door, with a mask and gloves on and I did not move from that spot just to get out of the elements outside. Upon me coming into the building I announced myself and let them know it was raining to hard outside and the 2 gentlemen inside said nothing about my presence. Then suddenly a female came and yelled at me about customers not being allowed in the building and told me I had to leave but fortunately for me one of the gentlemen offered me an umbrella. The young lady could have dealt with me in a more customer friendly manner and offered the umbrella but she chose to act as if I was wrong for being in the building. Well I will accept the responsibility of being wrong for coming in the building BUT I will say this, IF THERE IS SUCH A CONCERN TO NOT WANT CUSTOMERS IN THE BUILDING THEN THEY NEED TO WORK IN SUCH A WAY SO THAT THE CUSTOMER IS NOT STANDING OUTSIDE FOR AN UNNECESSARY AMOUNT OF TIME!.
