Budget Car Rental

First of all I tried to call the location where I was picking up several times. I was never able to get through and just had to show up in person to be able to speak to anyone. I then had to wait in a long line to be able to get the car. When I turned on the car it said the car needed an oil change but the agent assured me it did not. About an hour into my drive, the car began shake violently. I tried to call Budget and they told me to show up at a location in Houston for a replacement. Upon arriving they told me there were no available cars. I then had to drive all the way to Austin and replace the car at the airport. At that point I was finally able to drive comfortably. I asked for a refund for my troubles but Budget only provided me with a one day credit that expired soon after. I am really disappointed and doubt I will rent with Budget in the future.

They always help me get the best car I want for the price I pay. Always positive heartwarming feeling when I enter the location. I love the whole staff. Great cars and sometimes free upgrades

This isn’t so much about the location as it is about Budget and how they operate. First and last time we will rent from them. Rented a convertible, showed up to the location and the front desk said they don’t have convertibles and haven’t for a long time. Called corporate and they wanted us to do the work to call other locations and the airport to see if they have any. Of course, reaching the actual front desk is nearly impossible and when you figure out that line they don’t answer.... even at the airport. Spent 30 minutes calling over and over with no luck. We ended up in a boring Ford Fusion. If I operated this way at my job I’d be fired. Must be nice to do whatever you want at work.

The canal street location was the best ,great customer service, she allowed me to drop the rental at the airport location which made it so convenient
