I have been going to the big island for years. Finding Joe and Stephanie was like finding a secret beach. If I could give 7 stars I would. The Jeep was Great and Joe and Stephanie were even better. The communication and willingness to help (no help was needed) was so refreshing. As a side note, Armand picked us from the Airport and he was outstanding!nnMahalo Joe & Stephanie

Our Jeep was 1st class, we absolutely loved it. Joe was so helpful and everything from pick up and drop off was so easy, and very laid back. It was definitely the highlight of our honeymoon and we enjoyed every minute of exploring the Big Island in the Jeep! We would 100% recommend to anyone who is thinking about hiring. Joe and Stephanie provided 3 jeeps for our family vacation. They also provided GREAT customer service and advice as to what to see and where to go. My wife and I decided to extend our vacation, and a text to Joe was all it took to make that happen. Then, my wife's arthritis flared up and it was time to go home. Joe and Stephanie were AWESOME in helping to return the Jeep. They even made follow-up calls to inquire about my wife's health and wish us safe travels.nI would highly recommend Big Island Jeep Rental to anybody needing a rental car on the Big Island.

I would give this company 10 stars if I could. They were hands-down the best car rental experience I have ever had. Since I am more accustomed to renting from bigger companies, I was a little apprehensive at first but will always rethink my future car rental decisions based on the great service this small local company provided us.nnThey not only provided us with a great car for a lesser price for the week, but they also equipped it with accessories that made our trip exceptional. They acted as a concierge, quickly responding to my texts throughout the week when I had questions about different things we wanted to do on the island and gave us great recommendations. Renting a Jeep from these guys was one of the best decisions we made on our trip. They were recommended to us by our friends, who told us renting a Jeep is a MUST to get the full Hawaii experience, and they were right! My husband and I rented an adorable bright blue-green two-door wrangler with a soft top that could be removed. We zipped off all the windows and kept the roof on in case it rained (which it did!) and we had an absolute blast driving it. And the service Joe and his wife provide is unlike anything you'll get with a standard corporate rental company. For example we initially rented a Jeep from them before covid happened, so when Joe realized our trip would inevitably be cancelled, he reached out to us immediately to tell us about the restrictions there and that we would be receiving a full refund. Naturally when we rebooked our trip, we knew we would rent from them again. They put their customers first. Under normal circumstances, they bring the Jeep to the airport so that it's waiting for you when you arrive (pre-packed with beach gear), and you leave it at the airport when you leave. It was a little different for us since we went during covid, but they made the whole pick-up and drop-off process totally stress-free. Joe and his wife stayed connected with us via text. It was clear to us that if we had any problems we could reach them right away, and that was a huge comfort.
