Use any other company - Hertz is running scams on extra charges and makes it almost impossible to fix it.nnI rented a car for 2 days, and returned it to the exact same counter and employee from which it came. Rental agreement had unlimited miles.nnGet my Bill the next day only to see they charged $100 for mileage!nnCalled the main customer service line about it and spent 40 minutes on the phone just to be told that a request would be placed for it to be reviewed in 7 days. Never heard back. Called again a week later, and they told me I “returned the car to a different terminal” and refused to do anything about it and would not escalate the service to another review - despite the fact there is only ONE terminal even possible at Reno (and most airports have only ONE rental center, anyway!!)nnI kept calling back until I found someone COMPETENT to remove this extra $100 charge.nnNot worth the extra time and effort. It seems obvious to me they are pretty used to running this scam.

Rented my car through Dollar but was directed to the Hertz counter at the airport. The clerk charged me for $120 in insurance fees after clearly stating I did not want insurance. I did not notice until I received the receipt by email. When I called Hertz they stated I would have to return the car for inspection and check in again to have the fees removed, since I 'signed' under false pretenses.nConsidering I rented the car for a location over 3 hours away it would be crazy to drive back before my rental is up. I'm sure they anticipated that.nnTotal scam. I'll be filing a claim with my credit card company

November 2020-nUpdating review as I experience new interactions.nNot sure what kind of hertz this is but they seem to be sharing reservation staff between dollar, thrifty AND hertz. It’s Thursday 11am and they have unbelievably long lines. Management needs to do better at staffing.nnOctober 2020-nI’ve called a couple times over the past 2 days to confirm my reservation. No luck. I’m yet to get a hertz location that actually answers their phone.

Terrible booked a vehicle and they rented it out from under us, trying to charge us for a full size suv, and give use a compact suv.
