Checkout was not a problem. The staff was friendly and helpful.nnReturning the car has been my worst rental car experience. They are closed on Saturday. So, we returned the car and put the key in the drop box. I didn't think much of it until Hertz left me a voicemail 6 days later asking that I return my overdue rental. HUH? I checked my credit card and I have pending charges of about $100/day for 6 days. I called the location and they confirmed that the car is in their lot and said the pending charges would be dropped. Two days later the pending charges are still on my card, plus two additional ~$100 charges. I called Hertz (the parent company) and their suggestion was to email customer service... where the goal response time is 3-5 days. Unacceptable. I will pay extra to rent from a (non-Hertz) 24/7 location in the future.

Made a reservation for the weekend days in advance only to have them call me three hours before the reservation and say there aren’t any cars available and there’s nothing they can do about it. The whole planned trip was canceled because of this. The lack of organization and accountability makes this Hertz location the worst customer service I’ve ever had to deal with, and I’ll never be going back to this location again. Disgrace for such a reputable company to have such a branch, and I hope corporate does something about this before more people are affected.nnEdit- I can clearly tell from the other reviews that I wasn’t the only one negatively affected by this branch’s chaotic customer service. Once again shows how it’ll only go downhill from here if things don’t change.

Booked a car on the internet only to be told at pickup that they had no cars available and that there was nothing they could do. There was no apology or remorse shown at all.nWe then contacted the Hertz office from just outside the door and where someone walked in with no booking, sat down and got a car. When confronted we were told that the previous couple changed there minds and decided not to take a car and that because we were not standing in front of him when the other person walked in we lost the option of taking the car. He did see us standing at the door.nDisgusting Hertz... Do not hire from these guys.

my husband recently rented a car in Newton. When he returned the car, he forgot to retrieve his handicapped placard. The staff was not at all helpful in locating the placard and did not advise what steps he should take to have it returned, claiming they did not find it and the car was already rented out.
