Hertz

Needed to rent a vehicle for 24 hours. This place was not helpful. I was turned away for not having a credit card to pay with. I called Enterprise on Main St and got a better deal. Rented from them no problem with my debit card. In and out in 5 minutes. I do not recommend Hertz.

The manager Tom is wonderful I've used this location many times and they've always been very accommodating! Peter and the rest of the staff are always friendly and helpful!

I want to update this review from a 1 star. Nothing in life is perfect and my experience rating this as a 1 star was justified since it cost me a HUGE amount of personal time to fix (calls,emails and l having to take a few hours of time off of work). However the staff member who assisted me was unbelievably pleasant and professional, but he was working alone (I have rented from this location before and he seems to be the only person working every time I have rented). Everything else was great about the car rental, clean and the car ran well. I appreciate that Jeremiah reaching out to me to fix the problem, good customer service.nnFormer review..nI rented a car on Saturday and returned it the same day. Took over an hour to get rental b/c they were short staffed. It happens. However, they did not mark the car as returned and I'm get harassing calls at work and on my phone to return the car. I called the agent and Hertz. The agent has ignored my calls and hertz is sending emails for them to close the ticket. It's been four working days. Ridiculous!.

As a followup Jeremiah asked me to follow up on how my 4 star review could have been a 5 star. Honestly, I acknowledge not everything was in your control which is why it's a 4 and not a 3. You had a gentleman filling in from another Hertz agency who was overwhelmed but doing his absolute best to provide outstanding customer service. The travel sites (Hotwire etc...) gave him 12 reservations but no cars. (Not exactly true, he had 1 car with too many miles to be rented? and a pickup truck that a manager type on the phone was very reluctant to give up at compact car price) A lady came with a return and at this point he was able to use that car for my rental. It worked out. Although he cleaned and vacuumned it out, I began to notice a distinct cigarette smell to the car like the previous renter smoked. So I had the additional anxiety of worrying about a cleaning charge for smoking ....and I don't smoke!! Overall, despite a substitute agent's best efforts, the process felt very disorganized. A 5 star effort in regards to customer service overcame a 3 star institutional sloppiness. =4 StarsnDucking a potential bullet does not inspire a 5 star review.

Great front desk staff. Tom in particular was of immense help. They work really hard and are nice to deal with. The location sometimes gets too busy and takes a while to get to all the customers waiting to pick up a car. That's the only reason for reducing a star in the rating. This is a great place for my rental needs and I go here often.
