I would leave 1 start if I could. I had a business rental of a Nissan Sentra at a rate of $171/week for a month. We were going to be a day late so we called and let them know they said ok no problem and then we get a charge for $5196! $4513 over the agreement price for 1 day that they already knew about! The agent at the office and 2 phone agents were completely unhelpful. I am just dumbfounded how they could charge us so much and be so resistant to helping correct the problem!
One of our employees rented a Nissan Sentra at the agreed upon $172/week rate, for one month. Our employee, upon realizing that the rental was needed a couple more days, received verbal confirmation from the local Hertz manager that “it is ok to extend a couple of days.” Upon turning the car in, the $172/week went to $3999 for the month (plus fees), for A TOTAL OF $5197!! For an EFFING NISSAN SENTRA. We are a local business helping those facing addiction and mental health issues. Moreover, I am personally a Presidents Circle member, as are some of my business partners, and Hertz has FLATLY REFUSED any sort of refund even knowing this. I understand if there was to be SOME penalty, but a 6x multiple of the original agreement????
Kristin and the team at the Crystal Lake Local Edition have been wonderful. It is extremely easy to book a car, the car is always ready, the pick up and drop off process is very quick and, even when there has been a problem with the car, they take care of it immediately. Kristin, specifically, is a fantastic person and very helpful and knowledgeable.
I just wanted to say that the Manager, Kristen (not sure if I spelled it right) really went out if her way to help me in a bind. I appreciate the service & price was great. Would definetly recommend!
Just DONT be a woman and need help... they won't... take a man with you and you'll prob get better srvc
