There are those of us who chose to never fall into a credit card trap. We make our house payment and bill payments on time, don't spend beyond our means, work hard, and rarely need your services. But when a car needs to go to the shop, we need a rental. Your policies regarding needing a card has cost you business. A lot.
This was so convenient and easy pickup and drop off at the Columbia IL location. The customer service was superb, and even went above and beyond to assist us and also to make sure the rental was spotless and clean.

Well, they gave me a VW and was not offerred any options for same. I hate VWs. Worse, it had been smoked in, and smelled bad. Glad I was only renting it for a day.
