Kimo's Rent-A-Car

Renting a Maui cruiser from a local shop like Kimos is the most affordable option when traveling to Maui. My last rental with Kimo’s worked out great. Car had Great A/C. The check engine light was on but the car ran fine. Pick up and drop off was very easy. I will definitely rent from them again.

Great car rental! Cheapest we found on island for renters under 25. They had easy directions for pick up and drop off! We were able to also rent chairs and snorkel gear for an additional cost. We had an older car and it was a little rough around the edges but it made the trip to Hana twice.

Not reliable, would not recommend renting from this company. I received an email hours before my flight to Hawaii saying they wont have a car available for my trip even though I received confirmation weeks before hand. After scrambling around trying to find another car rental I found a reliable car rental company called Maui Cruisers. I called them and told them my situation and they were able to get me a car without hesitation and at a great price.

Pick up and drop off procedure at OGG was easy and efficient. Price was fantastic (especially when I heard crazy stories of what rental cars were going for at other places over spring break). Only complaint would be that my “newer” car (according to Kimo’s) had over 158k miles on it. That being said, it took me where I wanted to go without incident.

Reserved a car a month in advance. Then hours before we were supposed to land received an email saying they couldn’t give us a car because of the storm and the cars were in the shop. That I understand and was fine. But when I called them to get more info, they were EXTREMELY rude to me to the point where I almost hung up. The costumer service is absolutely terrible. Only good thing about this company is the good priced cars.nGo elsewhere if you can.
