Sixt Rent A Car

For the past year, I’ve rented from this location around 5 times. The staff are great, the process is super fast (unlike most other rental car companies in the city), and their premium vehicle selection is excellent. I don’t even bother to compare Sixt to other car rental companies as they are in a league of their own.

We enjoy coming to the Fisherman’s Wharf location primarily because of convenience, but we return there because of the great customer service. Kudos (again) to Katarina for a wonderful experience from the door of the office to the door of the rental car. Of course everyone is Super nice here but we’ve had the good fortune to have her help us out the times we’ve needed a rental. I’m one of those people who believe you can get a good “feel” of a place from your first experience, just in the way that employees treat not only the customer (offers of water or a phone charge), but also each other in *front* of customers. There was a general sense of a casual camaraderie which I rarely see anymore. We downloaded the mobile app, which I find quite intuitive to use. One small and one medium issue with the app: the default branch was SFO Airport (understandably), but it was a head scratcher initially to change branches to Fisherman’s Wharf. A bigger issue was our need to extend the rental, which I never did figure out how to do on the app itself (yes I’m older lol). We ended up on hold for greater than 30 minutes (much longer when considering we got disconnected twice). All in all, we’ve been very pleased here: in fact we’re looking to rent a car on a monthly basis, and really looking forward to use Sixt for that.

It was a fast, very efficient process. The staff knew their job, explained details quickly and I was in-and-out on both getting and returning the car.nCar was in excellent, clean condition. Prices and selections were excellent.

I was provided a car that, after leaving the lot I realised, was not cleaned properly. After returning the car, I was then sent a damage report. I suspect given I was provided a not fully clean car, a not so great job was done on inspecting the car from the previous renter. I know there was no damage to the car whilst in my possession. This place was terrible, and I should picked up on the red flag when I realised they gave me a dirty car (especially during these times!), but I had driven too far to go back and change the car. Beware renting from this location. I recently had an amazing experience with Hertz, so by comparison, renting from here has become a headache and a big regret.

Had an great experience renting from this location. The office interior is clean and new and the Sixt representative Iryna delivered superior service while setting up my rental. I appreciated that when I came back to return the car a week later, she remembered about my trip and brought it up in the conversation. Car was in excellent condition. Would rent from here again.
