Budget Car Rental

If it allowed me to give it a 0 rating I would. Doesn't even deserve a 1. So I prepay for a rental SUV using the card I have used twice in the past year. I go to pick up the car and am asked for my driver's license and credit card. I give them my license and my VISA credit/debit card. I am told we don't take debit cards. I explain I have used it before and never had an issue. I am told that couldn't of happened and I tell her well it did twice. I then offer my husbands credit card but now am told they cannot switch it because it is a different name. I am then told I cannot have my prepaid rental vehicle but I can call a 1800 number to have them change it for me. I call the number and speak to a rep and then a supervisor. They cancel my reservation and tell me I will have my money in 5 business days (mind you today is Friday). Then they proceed to tell me everything is sold out around me including the vehicle they just cancelled. I then informed the rep that I have hotels and such already reserved and paid for some without a refund option. Rep still states nothing he can do. I tell him this is the most unbelievable situation I have ever been in with a company. I now have to cancel this vacation which was only me going to see my sister I haven't been able to see in a year due to COVID. To make things worse I am a nurse and have been working through this and really needed this mental health break and now can't go anywhere. So disgusted!

Instead of getting a refund of the gas i filled i have been charged. Can you please explain me billing for that. And the lady at the drop off location said you are getting refund. Good car but bad customer service

Great service, great car but highly expensive

Very quick easy pick up and drop off, stress free.

I reserved a mid size car and was given a compact with no room for adults to sit in the back and no trunk.
