Avis Car Rental

My car smelled like blunts and body odor, the inside was filthy and there were pills and marijuana residue in the center console. I noticed the smell upon pickup of the car but figured it was just from a car handler and would air out easy; it did not. I didn't really notice all the other filth and drugs until I got to my destination in Long Island. I called customer support, was transferred to 3 different people and nothing happened to resolve the situation except to take the car to the South Hampton Avis which was closed until Monday. I have work to do so I cleaned the car as best I could during the work week and sprayed Ozium about twice a day. I'm sure this is an isolated event but it seems the JFK management is a little sloppy.

Poor service. We payed for a navigation system in advance but they refused to hand it out to us..despite the fact that we were showing them the original invoice. In order to get it, we had to pay for it at the station AGAIN!!! We never go with Avis again!

Came here last minute to book a reservation for a large vehicle and I was provided world-class customer service from Jacqueline. From experience I know how busy JFK is and how difficult it is to book a rental, but Jacqueline was able to provide us with a solution instead of excuses like most other car rental companies do. I am completely satisfied with the service and the experience Avis provided. Do yourself a favor and ask for Jacqueline!

Rental car was not cleaned upon pickup. Had to ask for it to be cleaned, waited. Rental car would not start on 1/30/21. Roadside assistance said try replacing battery in key hob, walked a mile and bought a $15 battery. It was not the problem, car would not start. Roadside assistance said they would text when someone would arrive, 2.5 hours later no text. Had to call my own AAA service. Found a portable charger with jumper cables lying on top of the car battery, under the hood. Huge hazard, clearly no one looked under the hood. To top things off, AVIS wants to charge me for the Roadside Assistance that never was used. Big fat zero, would have recorded a negative number if your scale allow it.
